The code uses the word "slave" in various places. These terms are considered deprecated by (parts of) the kernel community.

I agree that there might be better words to describe the relationship of the batadv and attached (lower) devices. But the network subsystem has to be changed first to use these terms before we can switch to the new functions (and connected terminology). And due to this problem, I have disabled the checks for DEPRECATED_TERM in the daily build_test for now.

The ticket should be therefore worked on after the related code in net/core/rtnetlink.c was adjusted.
